A four-year starter at first base, Amy Galvan earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors in 1993 and 1994; she was a second-team all-league selection in 1995. Galvan also was an All-Mideast Region Team honoree in 1994 and 1995. She won the MAC batting crown as a sophomore in 1993 with a .418 average, still the fourth-highest mark in UT history. As a junior, she led the team and was second in the MAC in batting average (.399) and RBIs (42), and also was tops on UT in hits (71), doubles (13) and slugging percentage (.506). As a freshman in 1992, Galvan was a member of the squad that won the MAC Championship title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. She ranks second at UT in career batting average (.349), hits (225), RBIs (95), slugging percentage (.461) and doubles (35).
