TOLEDO, OH – Toledo softball will continue its non-conference slate with doubleheaders against Marshall and Morehead State on March 15-16. The Rockets will match up against the Thundering Herd in Huntington, WV on Tuesday with the first game scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. The following day, UT will travel to Morehead, KY to battle the Eagles at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Jessica Lemieux is leading Toledo offensively with a .393 batting average and 22 hits through the Rockets' 21 games. Lemieux has scored a team-high 14 runs and recorded 35 total bases, including five doubles, one triple and two home runs. Lemieux also leads the team with 11 stolen bases. Junior INF
Chandler Rice is batting .286 with 16 hits, seven runs, four doubles and two homers. Â Rice has tallied a team-high 10 RBIs.

Marla Gooding leads the Rockets with a 4.89 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 67.1 innings pitched. Freshman RHP
Heather Webb has tallied 27 strikeouts after throwing for 33.2 innings.

Opponent Breakdown Â
Marshall has an overall record of 12-8 heading into the doubleheader with the Rockets. The Herd has won six of their last seven contests, including three victories against UTEP. Marshall's Jordan Dixon was named Conference USA Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week for posting an ERA of 1.37 and 17 strikeouts vs. UTEP. Morgan Zerkle is leading the Herd offensively with a .500 batting average and 20 runs this season. Zerkle has recorded 40 total bases and six RBIs.

Morehead State is currently 9-8 after splitting a pair of games with Eastern Michigan on Saturday (13-5, 5-8). Leading the Eagles offensively is Robyn Leighton. Leighton has posted a .462 batting average with 18 hits. Leighton has tallied 38 total bases, including a team-high five doubles and five home runs for a .974 slugging percentage.

Spring Break RecapÂ
The Rockets went 2-7 in California over the past 10 days. Highlighting Toledo's trip was its 6-5 victory over CSUN in Northridge, CA. Cal State Northridge was undefeated in four previous meetings against Toledo heading into last Thursday's matchup.
Marla Gooding put an end to that with her seventh complete game, allowing four earned runs, walking one and striking out five to improve her win-loss mark to 4-6.
