Brad Konerman enters his fifth season as the Rockets' director of basketball operations. In his role, Konerman handles various administrative tasks for the program, including running the program's summer camps, organizing on-campus recruiting visits and coordinating recruiting databases.
Prior to joining the Rockets, Konerman worked with the Xavier basketball program for four seasons. He served as a manager his first two years (2004-06) before being elevated to a program assistant his last two seasons (2006-08). His duties with the team included working with summer camps, recruiting databases, on-campus recruiting and serving as a liaison to academic advising.
During Konerman's time with Xavier, the Musketeers posted a 93-39 (.705) win-loss mark and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in three of four seasons while reaching the Elite Eight in 2008. Their run in the tournament included victories over Georgia (73-61), Purdue (85-78) and West Virginia (79-75) before ending with a 76-57 setback to No. 1 seed UCLA in the West Regional final.
Konerman's work over the last few years has led him to being ranked 20th nationally in College Bound Hoops' ranking of Basketball Operation Directors.
A Cincinnati, OH native, Konerman graduated from Xavier in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in history.
Konerman and his wife, Alison, reside in Sylvania.
